Woah baby! You are now officially a WHOLE HAND! 5 marked a lot of things for you Miss. Scarlett Rose. For a whole year you've been telling me that when you turn 5 you'll take up Karate again, try out getting your ears pierced one more time, and be able to watch Sponge Bob. You're still not quite up to the first 2 tasks but I may let you sneak a SB in here or there.I'm so amazed by you Scarlett. You are my sweet, smart, beautiful sensitive girl. You've gone from helpless baby to this independent girl, who enjoys doing ballets and having girl talks with Mama. Oh my can you talk! It's by far your favorite past - time and I savor every word. Right now, I'm your favorite partner in chit chat but I know it may not always be that way. I love hearing about what job you got in school today, or the funny things your friends say to you. I cherish that fact that you feel comfortable enough to tell me your fears, or about the things that make you sad. I hope you know that Mommy's ears, heart and arms will always, always be open to you my precious girl. Always.
I'd like to touch on what a phenomenal big sister you have become. You've taken to the job beautifully! You're always the first to comfort your little sister. Sometimes you even know what Dee wants before I do. You love to make her laugh and you are so good at it. I already see an unbreakable bond being formed between the two of you. Delilah is lucky to have you.
You've gone through so much change in the last year, sweetie, with much more to come. You've handled it with so much courage and grace. Please know, above all else Mommy and Daddy love you fiercely and we will BOTH always be here for you. We are SO proud of our girl.
